Metzger Ministry Update 04 2019 | "Future Plans"

O Lord, you have examined my heart and know everything about me. You know when I sit down or stand up. You know my thoughts even when I’m far away. You see me when I travel and when I rest at home. You know everything I do. You know what I am going to say even before I say it, Lord. You go before me and follow me. You place your hand of blessing on my head. Such knowledge is too wonderful for me, too great for me to understand! - Psalm 139:1-6 (NLT)

Thank you for lifting us up to the Father’s throne in prayer. We know of many of you that pray for us daily and we are so grateful for that. Thanks also for the way you encourage and love our family in other very specific ways.

Last month we had the privilege of attending SIL Papua New Guinea’s (PNG) biennial branch conference. This included a time of spiritual retreat and God was faithful in allowing us to feel renewed. Meanwhile Lukas and Matthias attended a Vacation Bible School (VBS) lead by a team that came from the United States and they loved it.

Kurt also had a meeting this month with the Aitape West Multilanguage Project (AWTP) where they discussed future plans. AWTP is an SIL translation project that works with 11 different languages located in the Sepik (Northwest) region of PNG. Kurt and I (Johanna) are partly assigned to this project and we thank God for this opportunity to contribute in this small way in helping bring the Word of God to the people of PNG.
